Dear Colleagues,
I am thrilled to announce that, this year, the International Workshop on
Human-Friendly Robotics (HFR) is connected to the FIRST EDITION of the
PhD School on "Supervised Autonomy: How to Shape Human–Robot
Interaction". Students and research groups willing to participate in HFR
are encouraged to register at this exciting school, which will take
place immediately after the workshop at the same location. Please visit
the website for further information.
Developing human-friendly robots capable of safe and trustworthy
collaboration requires envisioning and validating new paradigms. To
explore these paradigms and address the key factors influencing
human–robot collaboration, the upcoming school will bring together
experts to cover topics from physical design to artificial intelligence
across various application areas.
The dates of the events are, respectively:
15–16 June 2025: HFR Workshop (https://es.sonicurlprotection-fra.com/click?PV=2&MSGID=202502220846440144322&URLID=3&ESV=10.0.28.7941&IV=F1C504762046E140BC823ADB5C9295CA&TT=1740214005228&ESN=gPMTrxBXQi5xd3mr1BEmUncKSSDfB5YdGSkJGMBcSes%3D&KV=1536961729280&B64_ENCODED_URL=aHR0cHM6Ly9oZnIyMDI1LmV1Lw&HK=574BC141274E05AC93AE7C10FC1D7B1114D7E4FB44A4DACF5B9049412AA20B20)
This single-track workshop aims to bring together academic scientists,
researchers, and industry to exchange and share their experiences and
research results on all aspects related to introducing robots into
everyday life. The workshop covers various topics related to human-robot
interaction, both physical and cognitive, including theories,
methodologies, technologies, and empirical and experimental studies.
17–21 June 2025: SAHRI PhD School (https://es.sonicurlprotection-fra.com/click?PV=2&MSGID=202502220846440144322&URLID=2&ESV=10.0.28.7941&IV=ED3DD4ACDE8B91771551CFB84B0BF031&TT=1740214005228&ESN=BCW28lo184eecDSVldFTCaNjiu9EAEfbBsftYRoW0ZI%3D&KV=1536961729280&B64_ENCODED_URL=aHR0cHM6Ly9zYWhyaS5ldS8&HK=564850C4A49DADFFD285A2CE7147B2EF22E9BFF46DFCA0CE1B9817954772029D)
This school intends to investigate the influence of all those aspects on
the realization of supervised autonomy in robots operating in different
domains, such as driving, flying, assistive technologies, teleoperation,
medical applications, logistics, manufacturing. How to shape
"Human–Robot Interaction” is a question to be answered by focusing on
the integrated “Phygital” aspects concerning sensors, design and
materials, control and artificial intelligence."

The events will take place in the stunning setting of the island of
Capri (https://es.sonicurlprotection-fra.com/click?PV=2&MSGID=202502220846440144322&URLID=1&ESV=10.0.28.7941&IV=8575256E86A360B65B076342DC53968F&TT=1740214005228&ESN=Z4XPWCXHMKlkFnQsjIdqQpLM%2FAnizBjTKv4RV6TG3Sw%3D&KV=1536961729280&B64_ENCODED_URL=aHR0cHM6Ly9oZnIyMDI1LmV1L2Fib3V0LWNhcHJpLw&HK=427856587FBE5ECFFDA5F2837ED25216D95F2BDEAFFBD6F0C29F9A64F0974775) in June, the month that enhances
