MAGNIFY Workshop October 19, 2023 Groningen (The Netherlands)

Aim

The workshop aims at sharing the developed knowledge and lesson learned by the MAGNIFY  Consortium while developing a solid theoretical understanding and the enabling technologies for the realization of a new generation of soft actuators realized by means of artificial molecular machines, organized in polymer electrospun nanofibers and controlled by electrical stimuli. 

Target Audience
The MAGNIFY workshop is open for PhD candidates and Researchers whose research interest is in the field of molecular machines, polymeric nanofibers, and electrospinning with application to soft robotics. 

Date
The MAGNIFY workshop will take place on October 19, 2023.

Location
The MAGNIFY workshop will be held on the Zernike Campus of the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. 
Address: Innovation Center Chemistry & Engineering, Blauwborgje 31, 9747 AC Groningen.

Fee
The MAGNIFY workshop costs €100, including lectures, lunch, coffee breaks, and the social dinner on October 19 (€55 excluding the social dinner). Registration payment details will be sent on acceptance of participation. Accommodation and travel costs are not included. Cancellations are not eligible for a refund.

Application
Applications should be submitted via email to Raffaella Carloni (r.carloni at rug.nl <mailto:r.carloni at rug.nl>) before October 10, 2023. All applicants must provide a free format letter (max. 1 page) describing their research and the motivation for attending the school. Please specify whether you want to bring a poster to present your research.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 50. If more applications are received, participants will be selected according to the following criteria: balancing between nationalities; research area, background, and motivations as described in the submitted letter.
Notification of acceptance will be sent on October 11, 2023.
The final registration deadline is October 15, 2023.
