[I-RIM ML] [Robotic competition] Invitation to Participate in the METRICS HEART-MET Assistive Robot Manipulation Competition

Dear colleagues,

We hope this email finds you well. We invite you and your team to 
participate in the METRICS HEART-MET Assistive robot manipulation 
competition, which will take place in Florence, Italy, from September 
25th to September 29th, 2023.

The competition aims to demonstrate and benchmark the capabilities of 
robots functioning in assistive capacities in-home or healthcare 
settings. It offers two benchmarks, including object detection, person 
detection, and assistive tasks, such as the object sorting task. The 
competition is supported by the University of Florence (UNIFI) and the

To facilitate your participation, the competition will provide you with 
the Universal Robot UR5, the Panda Emika robot, and the TIAGO mobile 
robot on-site. In addition, other accessories, such as 3D cameras with 
tripods and other components could be provided.
