University of Florence is seeking candidates with strong research 
potential, interested in studies, researches and developments on IoT and 
robotic solutions and on acceptance and social impact of technology in 
biomedical applications, healthcare and active and healthy ageing.

The positions are funded by Horizon Europe projects and National Italian

*2 Positions as “Tecnologist”, senior researcher position*(for 2 years, 
highest level for Italian minister, gross salary/year 45.000€).

The candidates will be involved on the management of research activities 
of the BioRobotics and Biomedical Lab, focused on the development and 
implementation of IoT, AI and Robotics solutions for active and healthy 
ageing. The candidate will supervise scientific and technological topics 
related to social robotics, designing, and validating cognitive models 
of perception and action, able to generate dynamic and adaptative 
behaviors for robots during their interaction with humans and medical 
devices for clinical assessment, prevention, rehabilitation and monitoring.

*1 Post Doc position*on Human Robot Interaction (for 1 year, but 
renewable, gross salary/year 30.000€) - “Design and development of Human 
Robot Interaction models and capabilities”

·Social robotics and advanced human robot interaction, including 
affective computing, gesture recognition, proximity, social navigation, 
conversational agents, behavioral robot modelling, reasoning and 
decision making by applying knowledge-based and/or machine learning 
techniques.

·Robotic perception and context awareness development by using IoT 
solutions, particularly wearable sensors, combined with machine learning 
techniques.

*1 Junior Research fellow*on IoT (for 1 year, but renewable, gross 
salary/year 26.500€) - “Design and development of IoT and Robotics 
technologies for biomedical applications”

·Research and study of algorithms for the measurement of kinematic 
parameters of human movement.

·Research and study of novel techniques and approaches of machine 
learning for movement analysis, particularly in chronic diseases.

*1 Junior Research fellow*on active and healthy ageing topics (for 1 
year, but renewable, gross salary/year 26.500€) - “Research and study on 
acceptability and socio-technical impact of technology in active and 
healthy ageing”

·definition and studied about experimental protocols and methods for 
large scale pilots.

·definition of evaluation methodologies for acceptability, usability and 
socio-economic impactpromotion and support in innovation management.
