<p>A public selection, based on qualifications and interview, is hereby announced for the award of no. 1 (one) - "<b>Professionalizing research grant</b>" for the performance of research activities related to the Scientific Area of "Machine learning" to be carried out at the<span> </span><b>Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies of the CNR in Rome</b>, which carries out research in the framework of the research programme "<b>PILLAR-Robots: Purposeful Intrinsically Motivated Lifelong Learning Autonomous Robots</b>", for the following topic: "<b>study
and development of machine learning algorithms in the framework of
reinforcement learning, for the implementation in autonomous artificial
agents guided by intrinsic motivation</b>"</p><p><b>Research Program<br></b>In the context of the<span> </span><b>development of artificial systems for intrinsically motivated open-ended learning</b>, the research programme focuses on the conceptualization, formalisation and implementation of<span> </span><b>machine learning</b><span> </span>tools (in particular<span> </span><b>within the reinforcement learning framework</b>) that can<span> </span><b>support embodied artificial agents in autonomously learning to interact with the environment.</b><span> </span>The research will be supported by data analysis techniques, and inspired by the literature on autonomous open-ended learning.</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>To
the selection may apply individuals who, whatever their nationality or
age, are in possession of the following requirements at the date of
expiry of the deadline for submission of applications:</p><p>a) Master’s Degree in<b><span> </span>any field<span> </span></b>(the candidate is in charge, penalty of exclusion, of demonstrating the equivalence of held graduation diplomas);</p><p>b)
All qualifications obtained abroad (degree and any other
qualifications) must, as a rule, be previously recognized in Italy in
accordance with the legislation in force on the subject (information on
the website of the Ministry of University and Scientific Research:

obtained abroad that have not already been recognized in Italy with the

of admission of of the candidate to this selection, by the selection
