L'ICAR e' una piccola conferenza (200-300 partecipanti), che ha lo scopo di raggiungere quelle 
comunita' che, per svariati motivi, non possono partecipare alle conferenze piu' grandi come ICRA o 
IROS.

Questa e' la terza volta che ICAR e' organizzata in America Latina, dove ci sono grosse comunita' di 
ricercatori in controlli e robotica, che pero' restano quasi sconosciute. Queste sono ottime 
occasioni per instaurare delle collaborazioni molto proficue con quei colleghi e organizzare delle 
visite dei loro studenti.

Ci sara' inoltre un evento molto particolare sulla robotica per le miniere (terrestri e planetarie), 
dal momento che la zona di San Juan e' ricca di giacimenti minerari. Partecipera' a questo evento

La scadenza per la presentazione degli articoli e delle proposte di workshop e' il prossimo 8 
agosto, ma si possono fare delle eccezioni. Le scadenze principali sono:

- Paper Submission and Workshop Proposals: August 8th, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: September 15th, 2025
- Final Paper Submission: October, 10st, 2025
- Conference Dates: December 2nd –5th, 2025

ICAR is a small conference (200-300 participants) that aims to reach communities that, for various 
reasons, cannot attend larger conferences like ICRA or IROS.

This is the third time ICAR has been held in Latin America, where there are large communities of 
control and robotics researchers, yet they remain largely unknown. These are excellent opportunities 
to establish fruitful collaborations with these colleagues and organize visits for their students.

There will also be a very special event on robotics for mining (both terrestrial and planetary), 
since the San Juan area is rich in mineral deposits. Jim Keravala, founder and CEO of
