Dear all,
We are pleased to invite you to submit your contributions for the workshop “Cooperative Autonomous Mobile Robots in Research and Industry”, that will be held within the European Robotics Forum 2024, 13-15 March 2024 in Rimini (Italy). Please, find more info at the workshop website https://es.sonicurlprotection-fra.com/click?PV=2&MSGID=202312141532370180918&URLID=3&ESV=10.0.19.7431&IV=CCC3FCCF5C7D0F54E08280342F2F159B&TT=1702567958622&ESN=kBw9V2EwqEoPSC%2FU04RAFsyQXG%2BTnCFB2wLV0Pq4sTA%3D&KV=1536961729280&B64_ENCODED_URL=aHR0cHM6Ly9ldmVudGkudW5pYm8uaXQvZXJmMjQtY29vcGVyYXRpdmUtYW1y&HK=A0F6D44F1CF8B01A775A440C7CB2241F83E27DA08C1E0BED2DCE59D9C57755FA
AIM AND SCOPE
Material handling is a key step in several industrial manufacturing processes both in production and logistics. The introduction of multiple Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) aims at enhancing flexibility with respect to standard rigid production lines and vehicle fleets. Moreover, cooperation among robots based on distributed computing combined with new control, optimization and AI approaches, represents a new frontier to advance the AMR capabilities. This workshop will show recent advancements in research methods and toolboxes on cooperative autonomous mobile robots and link them to state of the art scenarios in industrial applications. The goal of the workshop is to promote interaction between researchers in mobile robotics and technology providers in the area of AMRs to identify potential solution approaches for open challenges. By connecting a diverse set of stake holders, the workshop will suggest novel directions, e.g., based on distributed computing, to generalise current toolboxes and technologies.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
In the workshop, we will host a roundtable discussion featuring keynote presentations from research and industry experts in the field, including:
- Lucia Pallottino — Full Professor at University of Pisa & Director of Centro di Ricerca "E. Piaggio”
- Fabrizio Schiano — Research Fellow at Leonardo Labs, Leonardo S.p.A.
- Ugo Rosolia — Research Science Manager at Amazon (Final confirmation pending)
- Luigi Palmieri — Group leader at Bosch Research, Group Reinforcement Learning and Behavior Learning
