*VENUE*

The Aquarium of Genoa has the most extensive range of aquatic 
biodiversity in Europe. The exhibition gallery consists of over 70 
exhibits and about 12,000 specimens of 600 species from around the world.


Located in the Porto Antico Area, the ancient port area in the heart of 
Genoa, which was redesigned by Renzo Piano in 1992, and is now a vibrant 
quartier with restaurants, bars, shopping places, and summer events.


*ACTIVITIES*

*10 July 2023* is the first conference day and is dedicated to 
*workshops and tutorials*. The main conference will then continue in the 
form of a *three-day single-track oral presentation program* from *11 
July to 13 July 2023*.

The conference program includes: 6* plenary lectures* from leading 
international researchers in biomimetic and biohybrid systems; *podium 
talks* and *poster sessions* from selected submitted full and short 
papers; a journalist-moderated *panel discussion*/*Science Café*.

An *exhibition* for research groups and companies will run in parallel 
during the entire conference.

*Cocktails by the sea*, a *banquet* in an exclusive location, *awards*,

papers will appear in the Living Machines Proceedings, published in

posters. Short papers will be accepted for posters only.
