The *Department of Information Engineering DII, in collaboration with the
Research Center in Robotics and Bioengineering "Enrico Piaggio" of the
University of Pisa,*  announces the public selection for the assignment of
n. 1 research activity grant (*Postdoctoral Research position)*:
“*Analysis of human tactile perception for object exploration and motion
coding targeting the design of advanced human machine **interfaces*”.

The ideal candidate should hold a  PhD in robotics or bioengineering
(although not mandatory), previous experience in haptics research - which
include the design and control of mechatronic systems and haptic
interfaces, tactile sensors, human studies, data analysis -  and,
importantly, a strong interest in scientific research in haptics, robotics
and bioengineering, scientific curiosity, large autonomy and ability to
work independently. Good programming skills and/or mechanical design skills
represent a plus.

The position is for one-year but it can be renewed.
