The scientific committee is proud to present a novel initiative, 
entitled *IFToMM for Sustainable Development Goals, I4SDG.*

It will be a *FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP* oriented to involve researchers and 
encourage them to interact on the themes of the United Nations SDGs.

/_Workshop Topics _/

Papers are welcome on topics related to the aspects of theory, design, 
practice and application of Robotics and of Mechanism and Machine 
Science, including but not limited to:

Robotics

Mechatronics

Biomechanical Engineering

Linkage and mechanical control

Sustainable Energy Systems

Green Tribology

Transportation Machinery

Rotordynamics

Multibody Dynamics

Micromachines

Engines and Powertrains

History of Mechanism and Machine Science

Education

Terminology

Computational Kinematics

Gearing and Transmissions

Vibrations

Reliability

Humanitarian Engineering and Appropriate Technologies;

Socio-Technical Systems for sustainable and inclusive development

Moreover, transdisciplinary approaches are welcome.

The research developed on those topics can contribute to reach one ore 
more Sustainable Development Goals, as defined by the United Nations:

Authors are encouraged to presents their works and to express the 
possible correlations between their researches and the SDGs.

Topic’s Round Table and an interactive session for PhD students will be 
organized.

Development Goals, the participation at I4SDG 2021 will be *free of 
charge.* _

/_Paper submission _/

Authors are kindly asked to submit:

- a full paper with recommended length 8 pages in Springer format.All 
accepted and presented papers will be published in a Scopus indexed book 
of the Springer Series Mechanisms and Machine Science, with the title: 
IFToMM and Sustainable Development Goals - Proceedings of the First 
I4SDG Workshop.

- in alternative is it possible to submit an extended abstract (max 2 
pages), not included in the book, for authors who are interested to 
presentation-only participation.

Each paper/presentation must relate to one SDG, and to one TC/PC/topic. 
It is mandatory to include as first keyword the most relevant SDG 
(Sustainable Development Goals) e.g. SDG4.

A selection of presented papers will be invited with extended version 
for a special issue in the International Journal of Mechanics and Control.

Best Paper awards will be given in categories of Research, Application, 
and Student Work.
