Dear Professor Molfino,

The service robotics industry has been surging for many years now. More
and more applications have been developed and claimed their share in
today's professional environments as well as in our homes.
The International Federation of Robotics has been tracing the
development of the service robotics industry for two decades now,
providing market information to robot suppliers as well as (potential)
customers, and the financial sector.

The new year kicks off the 2020 IFR Service Robot Survey, which is the
basis for IFR Service Robot Statistics. We are cordially inviting you to
contribute to our survey. Please feel free to include product images to
your submission (including the permission form). We guarantee maximum
confidentiality: No individual company data will ever be revealed. Each
data point published consists of at least 4 independent company reports.
Your data is stored locally. Only IFR's Statistical Department staff
directly involved in the evaluation has access. The strict German data
protection and antitrust laws apply.

As a contributor, you'll receive the survey results for free.

What is new this year?
We simplified the structure of the questionnaire: Differentiation by
region was dropped, and the single sheet structure was disentangled.
There are now three sheets, each one asking for a specific indicator.
 - Units: The number of robots sold by IFR application class and year.
 - Value: The value of your robot sales in millions of your national
currency.
 - RaaS: In some areas of service robotics, robots are not sold but
leased or contracted for service. These non-traditional ways of
marketing robots (or robot-based services) can now be reported in the
"RaaS" (Robots-as-a-Service) sheet.

the automatica in Munich.
